Abstract:

OVERVIEW: Avery Dennison executives are turning to the creation, identification and management of the firm's intellectual assets as a way to increase company growth and gain competitive advantage. Several new tools have been developed that aid in accomplishing these objectives. These include tools to better control and reduce patent costs, and tools that have helped the company turn its knowledge into profitable products more rapidly than in the past.
