Abstract:

The average kinetic energy of a heavy quark inside a heavy vector meson was computed using a relativistic Salpeter method. It was found through computation that significant relativistic corrections result in different values of 2 for pseudoscalar and vector mesons, and 2 ≈ 0.41 ± 0.07(B*0, B*±), 0.31 ± 0.06(D*0, D*±), 0.48 ± 0.09(B*s), 0.36 ± 0.07(D*s), 0.96 ± 0.17(B*c), 0.62 ± 0.11(J/Ψ) GeV2 for vector mesons.
