Abstract:

Recently, Mueller and Son discussed the time evolution of a dense system towards equilibrium in a scalar 4 field theory. They show the equivalence of the classical field approximation and the Boltzmann equation in all but linear terms in the occupation number. We give a simplified graphical derivation of this result and present the generalization to high-energy QCD.
