Abstract:

The Matsubara summation method over the imaginary frequencies of finite temperature propagators sheds direct light on the bosonic or fermionic nature of the excitations they refer to. This feature is here pointed out in the case of collisions between particles and particle-hole excitations, in a parallel with a standard perturbative approach.
