Abstract:

Les écrits autobiographiques d'Albert Bensoussan dépassent de loin les preoccupations solipsistes de l'autobiographie occidentale car ils relèvent d'une méditation ethno-historique et l'individu Bensoussan incorpore non seulement la perte d'Alger, sa ville, mais aussi de son identité juive-berbère, et de son identité sépharade, dans le sens originel du terme, et encore plus loin dans le passé, à l'histoire du judaisme biblique. De là, la tâche acharnée de sa mémoire répétitive obsédée par une récupération impossible qui, dans cette quête indéterminée, constitue une oeuvre multiple et variée.
