ACSS'97 – Afterword as Preface
I was asked to write something on ACSS'97 in this Special Edition of the conference proceedings. It's been a pleasure to recall and to be refreshed by the memories. We made history at ACSS'97 in many ways; I hope that those of you who were able to join us in Peterborough last August also have good tales to tell.

- Asian Cinema is a seminal journal, which has been published since 1995 by the Asian Cinema Studies Society under the stewardship of Professor John Lent. From 2012 Asian Cinema will be published by Intellect as part of our Film Studies journal portfolio.
