Abstract:

This paper presents the system design and implementation of an integrated glass-pressing simulation system. The system design is accomplished by object-oriented analysis, including structure design, modularisation and object modelling. By applying Virtual Reality (VR) to Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the interactive system provides an interface to implement comprehensive and intuitive analysis. And OpenGL is chosen for the development of the Virtual Environment (VE) and stereoscopic view. By integrating VR with FEA, the overall system is a new powerful tool to resemble the physical process cycle of glass pressing.
