Geography of technological cooperation: the Russian study

Abstract:
This investigation has been inspired by the erosion of the fundamentals of 'closed innovation' paradigm in the global R&D and the destruction of 'closed science' regime in Russian R&D system. The central idea is to examine boundless area disclosed for Russian R&D organisations by the processes of technological globalisation and governmental liberalisation policy. Upon the new imperative for creating and profiting from technology, this research aims to map cooperation efforts taken by Russian science-intensive establishments. Using a questionnaire survey, the data are collected in main federal areas of Russia. The results of the survey provide insight into the recent focus of Russian R&D organisations towards the geography of their collaboration perspectives.Keywords: MANAGEMENT JOURNALS; Entrepreneurship, Innovation and SMEs
