The International Journal of Electronic Democracy proposes and fosters discussion on the evolution and transformation of political systems by means of technology. However, the concept of e-democracy (also referred to as digital democracy or internet democracy) seems to offer a feasible path to further explore these questions as it is founded on the idea of streamlining political communications and altering aspects of political decision making in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of democracy.
