Abstract:
The nomenclature and taxonomy of the American, sorediate Roccella species recently known as R. peruensis and R. humboldtiana is reassessed. The two taxa are conspecific and the first, oldest, legitimate name for the united taxon is Roccella gracilis Bory.Keywords: ROCCELLA; TYPIFICATION; NOMENCLATURE
