An Innovative Prestressed Composite Beam
Abstract:The theoretical and practical development of an innovative prestressed composite beam is presented. Combining prestressing and normal reinforcement results in an element of reduced structural height that can be efficiently integrated into the assembly process of industrialized construction. Tests are reported that support the analysis and provide a verification of the anticipated strength and favorable performance in service.
