Abstract:

On June 13 and 14, 2001, the Lustgarten Foundation held its third annual Pancreatic Cancer Scientific Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. This conference was entitled “Pancreatic Cancer: From Genes to Treatment” and was held in conjunction with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As it had for the previous two years, the conference enabled pancreatic cancer scientists from around the world to meet and discuss new concepts in pancreatic cancer research. The conference also included a lecture series and poster presentations on current topics in pancreatic cancer research and treatment. These presentations gave researchers and health care professionals the opportunity to share their ideas, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.
