Abstract:
Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) has been associated with a number of psychological factors. We evaluated the psychological profile in 30 patients with acute CSCR and 30 age controls. CSCR patients had a higher proneness to stress, whereas no difference in psychological coping resources and degree of depression were found. We conclude that proneness to stress might predispose patients to acute CSCR.Document Type: Research article
