Abstract:

A man and his sister, who were products of a consanguineous marriage, complained of blurred vision in both eyes. They had systemic hypertension and had previously undergone bilateral cataract surgery. Histopathologic findings from the excised corneas of both patients were consistent with macular corneal dystrophy. Although the relationship is unclear, it is likely that some patients with systemic hypertension and macular corneal dystrophy have cataract.
