Abstract:

Social responsibility in a Danish business context is rooted in Nordic values such as equality, trust, flexibility, balance of power, inclusion, respect for nature and a Protestant work ethic.

For the past 50 years Denmark has — along with Sweden and Norway — developed the Scandinavian model (or the Nordic welfare model) characterised by stable labour relations, reforms in working life and an extensive social welfare system with full employment as an absolute objective.
