The fragile condition of CEOs
Abstract:Once hailed as the superheroes of the corporate world, it seemed they could do no wrong. But, in the post-Enron era, distrust has swept away cult status, and suddenly CEOs are slipping from their pedestals. As they struggle to restore reputation under intense scrutiny, they also have to rise to the challenge of working in a faster, globalised world. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
