Arcane Essentials to Pediatrics

Cheng Kangpu (also named as Cheng Deheng) was born and lived in Gaoming City, Guangdong Province from Emperor Daoguang's reign to Emperor Guangxuâ–™s reign (1821-1908). His family history of medical practice extended for six generations, among all medical field pediatrics is the best. Cheng Kangpu followed the ancestorâ–™s instruction to start his medical practice since he was twenty-year old. Given his rich experiences and intensive study on pediatrics for fifty years, Cheng compiled Arcane Essentials to Pediatrics (also called as The Cheng Family Formulas for Secret Records on Pediatrics), which has collected everything he inherited from his ancestors or proved by his own clinical experiences. Arcane Essentials to Pediatrics were made private copies, printed and published for many times after its release in book form. It enjoys a wide circulation and has a profound influence in Lingnan area. It also made a substantial contribution to the further development of Lingnan pediatrics.
