Abstract:

Insecticides tested against onion thrips, Thrips tabaci Lindeman, were aldicarb, aldoxycarb, cyfluthrin, cypermethrin. chlorpyrifos, fluvalinate, isofenphos, parathion, and permethrin. All reduced onion thrips populations. The reduction in onion thrips populations observed did not cause significant yield increases. High thrips populations did not clearly result in increased gray neck rot in stored onions.
