Abstract:

Sex attractant-baited sticky traps were evaluated against blacklight (BL) traps for monitoring adults of black cutworm, Agrotis ipsilon (Hufnagel), and variegated cutworm, Peridroma saucia (Hübner), populations in New York and New Jersey. Sex attractant trap catches during spring flights significantly exceeded BL trap catches. Summer ant fall flight catches were greater in BL traps than in sex attractant-baited traps.
