Abstract:

Efficient methods and materials for the mass rearing of Amblyomma americanum (L.) include the mass feeding of immature stages on chickens and the feeding of adults in cells on cattle. A masking tape-cold water method of collecting replete immatures was developed. Average population increases per generation has been 700X.
