Studies on the Parameters Which Affect Spray Spectra Characteristics from Rotary Sleeve Nozzles

Abstract:Sleeve porosity, sleeve construction material, and entraining air velocity had little effect on droplet spectra. An inverse relationship existed between sleeve rotational velocity and both volume median diam (VMD) and droplet spectra width. All pesticide formulations and drift inhibiting adjuvants decreased VMD over that of water. One drift inhibiting adjuvant increased both VMD and spectra width of aqueous pesticide sprays.
