Abstract:Chlorpyrifos was applied as an undiluted concentrate (Dursban® 2E) and as 0.5 and 10% granules for area control of the so-called common chigger mite, Eutrombicula alfreddugesi (Oudemans), in 0.05-ha wooded plots. Estimated effective doses for 90% control through 4 wk were 1.1, 1.3, and 1.6 kg AI/ha for the 0.5% granules, 10%granules, and 22.4% spray, respectively.
