Redbacked Cutworm Control on Peppermint with Leptophos

Abstract:Leptophos applied at rates of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 lb AI/acre reduced the avg number of 4th- and 5th-stage Euxoa ochrogaster (Guenée) from 7.0 to 0.2 per ½ ft2, from 28.4 to 0.2 per ½ ft2, and from 2.2 to 0.2 per ½ ft2 after 14 days, respectively, in 1973. In 1974, rates of 1.0 and 2.0 lb AI/acre reduced the avg number from 4.3 to <0.1 per ½ ft2 and from 2.4 to <0.1 per ½ ft2 after 14 days, respectively.
