Abstract:

Enaphalodes rufulus (Haldeman) was artificially reared at 21.1, 26.7, and 32.2°C. Larvae reared at 21.1°C required ca. 50 days longer to develop than larvae reared at 26.7 or 32.2°C and were much smaller. Females reared at 21.1°C produced half as many eggs as females reared at 32.2°C. Most of the larvae entered diapause soon after reaching their maximum weight. A cold treatment was required to break diapause.
