Abstract:

Fifteen compounds were evaluated for control of Feltia subterranea (F.) on peanuts in Georgia. The materials were used as baits, sprays, and 1 dust mixture in experi- ments during the 4-year period 1966-69. Abate® (O,O- dimethyl phosphot'othioate O,O-diester with 4,4'-thiodi- phenol), monocrotophos, Dursban® (O,O-diethyl O- (3, 5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl) phosphorthioate), Dyfonatc®(O- ethyl S-phenyl ethylphosphonodithioate), trichlorfon, methomyl, and Monitor® (O,S-dimethyl phosphoroamido- thioate) gave higher than 90% control of cutworm larvae within 24 hours after application.
