Abstract:

When an improved bioassay technique (a modified cotton-leaf-disk method) was used to determine the feeding stimulants in plant extracts for larvae of Heliothis virescens(F.), the water extract of corn kernels was the most stimulatory compared with water extracts of cotton squares, corn silks, and cotton flower petals.
