Abstract:
Unmated females of the Florida strain of Cochliomyia Hominivorax (Coquerel) that has been colonized for 11 years responded to male pheromone from that strain and from the laboratory-reared Mexican strain. Females from the Mexican strain did not respond to either pheromone. The selection pressures of mass rearing may have affected the responses of the 2 strains.Document Type: Research article
