Abstract:Toxin produced in vitro by isolates of Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin was bioassayed by injection into larvae of the greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella (L.). Isolates from infected insect hosts produced higher toxin titre than did isolates repeatedly subcultured on media. Toxin titre varied with aging of culture.
