Abstract:Evidence is provided to show that a strain of Trichoderma viride Persoon, isolated from soil that had been heavily contaminated with various insecticides, has the ability to degrade several organophosphorus, carbamate, and chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticides; probably through an oxidative system.
