Abstract:
Metcalf (1955) reports the acute oral LD50, of endrin to the rat as 10-12 mg/kg. Similar values have been determined for mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, and dogs. However, the toxicity of intraperitoneally injected endrin to mice is not available. A recent report by the U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (1964) concerning fish kills in the lower Mississippi River Basin have pointed to Metcalf (1955) reports the acute oral LD50, of endrin to the rat as 10-12 mg/kg.
