Glischrochilus quadrisignatus (Say) (Colcoptera:Nitidulidae) overwinters as an adult and produces a single generation in the spring on decomposing food material in the soil. Adults of the new gp11('ration appeal' in late June and July and feed on ripe, damaged, and decomposing plant materials for the remainder of the season. The adults are also attracted to exposed food in picnic areas.
