Abstract:

Alcohol-formalin and water-formalin are not always effective 'for American foul brood in cases where there are massed spores. Treatment of brood combs may mean harboring or spreading the disease. There is no danger of infection from dry super combs. Wet super combs that do not contain scales may be disinfected by immersing' in hot water for 24 hours.
