Joint federal and state participation in a campaign to eradicate or control the bee disease, known as American foulbrood in apiaries is proposed by the American Honey Producers League. The project has already been approved by several state beekeepers' associations. The area clean-up plan is suggested as the method of procedure. as it is proving successful in a number of states. A favorable recent development is the discovery of an efficient disinfectant for diseased combs.
