Abstract:Two methods of control of Phorbia ceparum have been found effective. (1) Moistening the onions with corrosive sublimate solution. (2) Use of Bordeaux oil emulsion. Practically complete control was obtained by the latter method this year when maggots caused a loss of at least 50% of the onion crop.
