Abstract:A general discussion followed this paper in regard to the leaf-hopper transmitting the disease concerned and it developed that definite facts concerning the transmission of the disease had been worked out under laboratory and field conditions by Prof. R. E. Smith and his associates in the University of California and would be published in a forthcoming number of Phytopathology.
