Larvae of Caryobruchus buscki Bridwell and a new species of Pachymerus infest a large percentage of the fallen fruits of the palm, Scheelea ostrata Burret. The final instars of these 2 species of Pachymerinae are described and compared. Characters used were those of the the labrum, clypeus, epipharynx, maxillae, antennae, The ocelli, legs, anal sulcus, and integumental vestiture.
