EFMD Insights into Executive Education and Workplace Learning
Edited by: John Peters and Matthew Wood. This collection is one of a number drawn from EFMD's Global Focus magazine, published in the past few years, and selected to present insights into workplace learning and executive education, drawing on learning and development in companies, corporate universities, and executive development in business schools. It begins with a weighty overview on workplace learning, first published in 2012, and leads off with a series of cases from businesses including Siemens, Swiss Re and Coca Cola. It ranges across a number of variations on the theme, from philosophical reflections to practical studies. EFMD is one of the few accreditation bodies to address workplace learning in a serious and considered way, and we include a short study on EFMD's CLIP, Corporate Learning Improvement Process. CLIP-accredited corporate learning and development centres include some of the world's best and highest-reputation organizations. We also include a round-up of the EFMD's Excellence in Practice awards from 2010, 2011 and 2012. The collection concludes with another large-scale, in-depth review on corporate coaching.
