Abstract:
The structure and headings for AbilityMatch Case Studies are presented. Guidance notes for prospective AbilityMatch Case Study writers are also included. The authors have drawn upon recent experience of providing feedback about draft AbilityMatch Case Study reports and consideration of the key objectives of the AbilityMatch instrument. AbilityMatch seeks to explore the interaction between a job (via the AbilityMatch Job Activity Assessment) and a person (via the AbilityMatch Person Ability Assessment), and where mismatches occur to enable the identification of relevant work solutions. AbilityMatch case studies should focus on how AbilityMatch contributed (a) to the generation of work solutions that enable an individual to obtain, and/ or retain employment, or (b) to the identification of evidence that enable an individual to review their employment situation and goals. One key issue is the prioritisation of work solutions. This will have increased importance with the addition of new AbilityMatch items (March 2007). Some case studies may address issues related to the usage of AbilityMatch. Keywords: ABILITYMATCH; DISABILITY MANAGEMENT; EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENT; HEALTH CONDITION MANAGEMENT; VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION; WORK SOLUTIONS
