DWP Psychology Division
The Journal of Occupational Psychology, Employment and Disability is published by the Psychology Division of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). It contains articles written by DWP psychologists as well as non-DWP professionals working in the field of employment and disability.
It is published twice a year - Spring and Autumn, and was formerly known as the Journal of the Application of Occupational Psychology to Employment and Disability (1999 - 2002).
The Journal aims to increase the understanding of applying Occupational Psychology to employment and disability, and provides a forum for sharing good practice.
The articles include case studies, research projects and examples of good practice, as well as psychometric tests and book reviews. A section called Standpoint is specifically designed to promote contemporary discussion within the field.
The editors are David Booth, Nicola Dodu, Anna Lawrence, James O'Malley and Bruce Rainford. The editorial team is keen to encourage contributions from individuals outside DWP and to extend the readership to interested and related groups outside DWP.
These groups may include:
- Academics working in the areas of disability, rehabilitation, ergonomics and employment
- Medical practitioners working in the area of disability and rehabilitation
- Industrial practitioners working in personnel, in unions and in private practice
- Organisations representing specific disability groups.
