The same procedure, extended to consonant intervals not used in the twelve-step scale, then leads to a thirteen-step scale filling the framework of the twelfth<SUB>0</SUB>. This scale is presented in just and equal tempered tuning. Approaches are shown to a tonal system, based on this scale, and to the realization of 13-tone music.",
