Source Effect of Ribs in Sound Radiation of Stiffened Plates. Experimental and Calculation Investigation
Abstract:This paper deals with the influence of ribs, as vibrating surfaces, in the sound radiation of stiffened plates. A new criterion is used to estimate the source effect of ribs for some stiffened plates. The purpose is to evaluate the relevance and utility of this new criterion. After an experimental investigation, a numerical simulation using a boundary element method is proposed.
