Abstract:

The phenomenon of light diffraction by two ultrasonic beams when their frequency ratio is n:m (n ≠ 1 and m ≠ 1 and nm) is considered. Some theoretical and experimental results are presented when the frequency ratio was chosen to be 2:3. New facilities in light modulation are shown as well as possible applications.

Zusammenfassung

In der Arbeit wird die Lichtbeugung an zwei Ultraschallbündeln betrachtet, deren Frequenzen sich wie n:m verhalten (n ≠ 1, m ≠ 1 und nm). Es werden einige theoretische und experimentelle Ergebnisse für ein Frequenzverhälntis von 2:3 vorgestellt. Des weiteren werden neue Möglichkeiten der Lichtmodulation aufgezeigt und ebenso ihre mögliche Anwendung.

On étudie le phénomène de la diffraction de la lumière par un couple de faisceaux adjacents d'ultrasons dont les fréquences sont dans un rapport n:m (m et n entiers avec m ≠ 1, n ≠ 1 et mn). Certains résultats théoriques et expérimentaux ont été développés pour le cas particulier n = 2 et m = 3. On a mis en évidence de nouvelles possibilités intéressant la modulation de la lumière et certaines de ses applications.
