Abstract:

A mobile measuring system is described which makes possible the direction location of infrasound. It operates by the use of three microphones, one at each corner of an equilateral triangle, whose output voltages, after PCM modulation, are recorded with a simple single-track magnetic tape recorder. The results are evaluated in the laboratory.

The usefulness of the system was tested by direction-finding of aircraft through their infrasonic emission. These measurements were carried-out in the immediate neighbourhood of an aerodrome.

Es wird ein mobiles Meßsystem beschrieben, das die Richtungsortung von Infraschallquellen ermöglicht. Es besteht aus drei an den Ecken eines gleichseitigen Dreiecks aufgestellten Mikrophonen, deren Ausgangsspannungen nach PCM-Modulation mit einem einfachen, einspurigen Magnetbandgerät aufgezeichnet werden. Die Auswertung erfolgt im Laboratorium.

Die Brauchbarkeit des Systems wurde durch Ortungsversuche an Flugzeugen aufgrund ihrer Infraschallemission nachgewiesen. Diese Messungen wurden in der unmittelbaren Umgebung eines Verkehrsflugplatzes durchgeführt.

On décrit un appareillage de mesure mobile permettant la localisation en direction des sources d'infrasons. Il consiste en trois microphones disposés aux sommets d'un triangle équilatéral et dont les tensions de sortie, après modulation en impulsions codées, sont enregistrées sur une bande magnétique simple, à une seule piste. L'exploitation de cet enregistrement se fait au laboratoire.

La fiabilité de ce matériel a été démontrée par des essais de localisation portant sur des avions dont la capacité d'émettre des infrasons est connue. Ces expériences ont été effectuées au voisinage immédiat d'un aéroport civil.
