Loudspeaker Enclosure to Simulate an Infinite Baffle
The low frequency response of a small loudspeaker enclosure is determined primarily by the mass of the cone and the volume of the enclosure. This paper investigates the possibility of synthesizing an infinite baffle in a small enclosure thereby providing low frequency reproduction with
low distortion. The synthesis is affected by reducing the pressure variations inside the enclosure using an additional loudspeaker driven by a control signal.
