Why Do We Have to Talk About East Asia: Politics and History in the Situation

As a thinking category the effectiveness East Asia is often questioned. But considering the traditional problems of the formation of its own knowledge, I regard East Asia as a category of knowledge not just as a geographical space for imagination and it has its rationality and irreplaceable value. The issue often overlooked by China intellectuals becomes prominent when pressed by East Asian neighbors intellectuals. Why should we talk about East Asia and why we do not talk about East Asia? They are both historical problems that can't solved without theoretical imagination.
