As part of a broader study soliciting user input when specifying thematic content and design for a new provincial atlas of British Columbia, special-interest groups and the general public were questioned about their reactions toward, and willingness to purchase and use, alternative atlas formats, emphasizing loose-leaf and electronic atlas distribution. Results suggest a negative response to loose leaf atlas distribution, and a positive reaction to any electronic atlas as long as it complements rather than substitutes for a traditional, bound paper atlas.",
