The book consists of letters that Mr. Wang Tan wrote to his family when he studied from Wright in America between 1948 and 1949, which is sixty years till now. The letters involve in many categories in architecture, philosophy, music, conduction and leaning, from which we can see Wright in the eyes of Mr. Wang Tan as well as the vivid, ideal, persistent, learned, open-minded and excellent architecture life in the old generation Chinese architecture predecessors. There are over 160 frames of precious illustrations in the book, most of which are drawn by Mr. Wang Tan. Preface of the book is written by wife of the Master Ma Siju. The book also consists of architecture works of Mr. Wang tan about Wright. Through the book, we can understand how the old generation Chinese architects studied from modern architecture masters as well as their think, feeling and behavior. From the book, we can see a spot of growing history of Chinese architecture.
