Abstract:

Los esfuerzos para conseguir una cobertura universal de los servicios sanitarios se han centrado en como llegar a una mayor proporción de la población y en protegerla de las consecuencias financieras de una mala salud mediante el prepago y la creación de fondos. Sin embargo los factores relacionados con la cobertura del servicio, es decir ‘que servicios están cubiertos’ y ‘para qué servicios debería mejorarse la cobertura’ también tendrían que jugar un papel crítico.

Les efforts pour aboutir à une couverture universelle des services de santé ont mis l’accent sur la façon d’atteindre une plus grande partie de la population et sur la protection contre les conséquences financières de la mauvaise santé, par le biais de prépaiement et de mise en commun des ressources. Mais, les facteurs liés à la couverture des services tels que: ‘quels services sont couverts’ et ‘pour quels services la couverture devraient être améliorée’, devraient également jouer un rôle essentiel.
