Abstract:

The first documented occurrence of a silvery John dory, Zenopsis conchifera, in the Mediterranean Sea is reported. A female (645 mm total length, 3296 g body mass) of Z. conchifera was caught in July 2006 by a commercial bottom trawler off the northern Tunisian coast (central Mediterranean Sea).
