Abstract:

Transparent LaGdHf2O7 ceramic was successfully prepared by reactive sintering using vacuum sintering at 1900°C for 6 h. The resultant ceramic has an in‐line transmittance of 74% at 1100 nm and the density was measured to be 8.37 g/cm3. The average grain size was about 10 μm with uniform structure.
